Facilities
The communal area is open plan with a light and airy, well-equipped kitchen and a cosy sitting area with comfortable armchairs around the wood-burning stove which you are welcome to use if you bring along, or buy locally, kindling, wood or smokeless fuel. The hostel also has central heating throughout. There is free Wi-Fi with good reception in the communal area and a TV.
There are three toilets and three showers with plenty of hot water - no fiddly meters or push buttons.
There is also an excellent drying room should the Scottish climate live up to it's reputation. . . There are also facilities to handwash clothing and a spin dryer.
It is worth noting that there is no mechanical dishwasher - we suggest you bring your own human one! There is a large fridge but no freezer within the hostel. Frozen food can be kept in a freezer in our garage if needed. Please be aware the communal areas may be hazardous for small children so they should be closely supervised at all times.

Rooms
The hostel sleeps a maximum of 10 people in 3 rooms.
Imrich – sleeps 2
Banchor – sleeps 4
Creag Dubh – sleeps 4

An additional temporary bed can be set up in the larger rooms if there is under capacity elsewhere.
The rooms have single bunk beds. Bedding provided so no need to bring your sleeping bag. We ask those travelling by car to bring their own towels but one can be hired for £2 if you forget. Towels are free of charge for those arriving under their own steam – foot, bike or kayak. We know how inadequate a pack towel can be!
Dogs
We are happy to accommodate dogs in the rooms (and communal areas if other guests agree) but ask that dogs are never left unattended in the hostel or garden and that you “poop-scoop” any deposits left in the garden. The hostel is cleaned thoroughly every day but for those with severe dog allergies unfortunately we can not ensure it will be completely allergen free.
