How to find us

By train

Newtonmore station is a 9-minute walk down Main Street from the hostel. The Highland Main Line runs hourly between Edinburgh / Glasgow and Inverness.

By electric coach (Ember)

The Ember E9 all-electric coach stops on Main Street, a two-minute walk from the door, with direct services from Edinburgh Airport and from Inverness — no car or changes needed. Around 11 services a day, several running straight from the airport.

By car

From Edinburgh or Glasgow: A9 north, exit at Newtonmore / Kingussie. About 2 hours 15 minutes. From Inverness: A9 south, about an hour. Parking is either in front of the white house or in the village car park, one-minute walk from the hostel, its free.

Please do not park in front of the Mains Care Home, or at the back of the white house.

By bus

Stagecoach service 33 runs Aviemore ↔ Newtonmore ↔ Kingussie hourly. The bus stop is on Main Street, two minutes' walk.

By bike

National Cycle Network Route 7 (Lochs and Glens) runs through Newtonmore. Bike store is round the back of the hostel — covered, lockable.

By foot

The Speyside Way starts in Newtonmore. If you're walking the route, our front door is roughly your day 1 finish.
