The rooms

Ten beds across three rooms, all named for the hills you can see or walk to from the front door. Each room is small enough to feel like yours and the whole hostel sleeps a maximum of ten people.

All rooms are mixed dorms. Got concerns? Drop us a line and we'll work it out together.

Imrich

Sleeps 2 · One bunk bed · £25 per person per night

The smallest of the three. One bunk bed. Best for a couple, two friends, or a solo walker who'd like a quieter corner.

Bedding is provided. The bathroom, 1 of 3, is next door and shared with the other rooms.

Why "Imrich"? Newtonmore’s small kettle hole loch. From the Gaelic for a journey.

Banchor

Sleeps 4  ·  Two bunk beds (4 beds)  ·  £25 per person per night

Two bunk beds with reading lights. Window overlooking the garden. Storage shelves for larger items.

Bedding is provided. Pegs by the door for damp jackets that haven't made it to the drying room yet.

Why "Banchor"? Named for Glen Banchor — the quiet walk that starts right at the edge of the village. Five minutes from the front door and the village is behind you

Creag Dubh

Sleeps 4  ·  Two bunk beds (4 beds)  ·  £25 per person per night

Two bunk beds, much like Banchor. Window looking onto the garden. Bedding is provided. Storage shelves for larger items.

Why "Creag Dubh"? Gaelic for "black rock" — the dark crag that rises just south of the village. You see it before you see anything else when you arrive on the train.

What's in every room — and what's not

We've kept things simple on purpose. Bedding is on the beds. Towels are on the shelves in the rooms. Hot water comes from electric showers shared on the corridor. There's no en-suites, it’s only a small building.

In every room

•       Fresh bedding made up before you arrive

•       Reading light by each bed

•       Pegs and a small shelf for your kit

•       A radiator

Communal areas

•       Two individual bathrooms with electric showers

•       Two individual Toilets and wash basins

•       One individual bathroom with electric shower and toilet

•       All bathrooms have bath mats and hand towels.

•       A drying room — wet boots and waterproofs in by the evening, dry by morning.

•       A kitchen stocked with all the cooking utensils you’d expect to find , and a sitting room you'll meet other walkers in
